DURANT, Okla (KTEN) -- Choctaw Nation's Health Services is sponsoring a summer eating program.

The summer eating program is for children up to high school age.

It makes no difference if you're a tribal member or not.

And health services staffers are looking for different sites to host the summer eating program.

"It's a time of the year that some families have a hard time to feed their children, said Health Services Director, Claudene Williams. So, the program is a program that provides food when school is out for the summer. So, we just like to help those families out just a little bit."

The summer program begins June first and ends July 31st.
