TISHOMINGO, Oklahoma (KTEN) - Murray State College men's basketball has had plenty of success in the past three seasons, winning 20+ games in two of those years.

With that success, comes change. NJCAA Region II coach of the year Kevin O' Connor left the Aggies to be the next head coach at Cameron University, a Division II program.

Murray State has hired Josh Davis as the man to replace O'Connor. Davis was most recently the associate head coach at Oklahoma Baptist University, one of the best programs in the Great American Conference. He also has experience at the Division 1 level, when he was the director of basketball operations for Mercer University.

Davis is looking forward to the opportunity at Murray State, where he takes the reigns as a head coach for the first time in his career.

"It's not really my program, it's gonna be our program, between the student-athletes, the community, these teachers, the assistant coaches and everyone that is involved" said Davis on Monday.
