Ada's new development director is focused on the future
ADA, Okla. (KTEN) — The City of Ada has a new community development director.
Staci Bungard took over the job three weeks ago. She has 15 years of experience in development services, and is looking forward to the continued growth of Ada and its economy.
She previously worked for community development departments in Montana, South Dakota and Wyoming, and hopes her previous experience will benefit her new home.
Bungard will work with prospective businesses, the Ada Jobs Foundation, and developers on the department's plans and projects.
Right now, she's getting to know the city and its needs before completing a plan review.
"Everyone here in Ada has been very welcoming, and I really appreciate that, and look forward to working with the citizens of Ada, hopefully — through the planning process — making their lives a little bit easier and adding some quality of life features," Bungard said.
Bungard and her department are responsible for planning, zoning, and building services.
She said this new role is a great opportunity to continue her passion for developing cities, and she's excited about what the department will accomplish going forward.
