A field day for Ardmore families
ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — More than 50 people gathered together in Ardmore this weekend to enjoy a community field day.
The event was hosted by local nonprofit Real Dads do Real Things to encourage families to take time for one another.
Events ranged from a kickball tournament to sack races and even an Easter egg spoon race.
"A lot of people have come out from Dickson, Lone Grove... someone said they even came from Ringling to have a good time," said RDDRT founder Jonathan Willis. "We need to have these events so dads can bring their kids out, families can come out and have a good time, we can all bond, and just spend some time in the community and not be cooped up in the house."
The nonprofit plans to hosts more community events over the next few months.
