McCURTAIN COUNTY, Okla. — A McCurtain County man has been found dead in the in the Mountain Fork River after a six-day search.

The McCurtain County Sheriff's Office said the body of 29-year-old Ronnie Toon was spotted around 9 a.m. Thursday on the banks of Panther Creek.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Toon was attempting to cross a flooded bridge last Friday when his vehicle was swept into Mountain Fork River.

"On behalf of the family, a sincere thank you to all search and rescue teams," the sheriff's office said.
