ANNA, Texas (KTEN) - Gunter softball beat Whitewright 5-4 in a thriller. With the win, Gunter moves into first place in the UIL 3A, District II, Region 11 standings. 

Gunter pitcher Rhyan Pogue was stellar on the mound. Whitewright took a 4-2 lead late but Gunter responded with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
