Wilson officer confesses to fabricating an officer-involved shooting
WILSON, Okla. (KTEN) — According to Wilson Police Chief Kevin Coley, the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation completed its investigation into the February officer-involved shooting.
Officer Tyler Skinner made a full confession stating he fabricated the shooting and made up the whole story.
Coley stated he and OSBI agents worked every lead and tip received.
The evidence did not line up with Skinner’s story.
Skinner has been dismissed from the Wilson Police Department.
The District Attorney’s office has been notified.
Charges will be presented to the DA once they receive the full report from OSBI.
