Sherwood Shores fire damages cars, shed
GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KTEN) — A fire burning in a barrel sparked a grass fire that torched a storage building and five vehicles on Friday.
The Sherwood Shores Volunteer Fire Department said the owner of the property in the 600 block of Whitaker Circle had started the fire to burn some items, but the flames got out of control in this small community on the shore of Lake Texoma.
No one was hurt.
Grayson County officials enacted a burn ban on Friday due to the increased fire danger from an ongoing drought.
