Ardmore restaurants plan New Year's Eve celebrations
ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — Businesses in Ardmore are gearing up for New Year’s Eve events.
Mill Street Tavern and several other restaurants in Ardmore will be ringing in 2022 with dinner, live music, and more.
Sidelinez Sports Grill plans a balloon drop at midnight and live music starting at 9 p.m.
"People can come in and enjoy it,” said owner Lisa Sanders. “It's safe, good food; good music; and you can have a good New Year; we need it!"
Mill Street Tavern will start its celebration with carriage rides from 6 to 9 Friday evening.
"We will be open well past midnight to celebrate the New Year," said tavern owner Chris Wright. “We have a live band starting at nine, and it's a $10 cover at 8. We are going to have three different dinner specials: A pasta special for two, a prime rib special for two, and a surf-and-turf."
If you can't make it out Friday, Mill Street will continue the celebration on Saturday.
"It's for everybody who maybe didn't get a chance to go out on New Year’s Eve,” Wright said. “They can come out on New Year's Day and celebrate with us. We've got four different artists coming out and doing song swaps, so it’s a day full of music."
Both restaurant owners are excited to bring the community together to ring in the New Year.
"Come on out and support local — whether it’s me or someone else restaurant-wise,” Sanders said. “I'm all about supporting locals."
