DURANT, Okla. (KTEN) -- For the second time this week, police in Durant are investigating the discovery of a body found in a vehicle.

Police said Wednesday's incident was reported at the Valero convenience store at the corner of NE 3rd and Florida streets. They told KTEN News that it appears suspicious circumstances are involved.

"One of my coworkers at the store noticed the person appeared to be asleep in the car, in the passenger seat," said convenience store clerk Dakoda Cardwell. "He went out himself and banged on the window as hard as he could to see if the guy was going to budge; he didn't, so I went ahead and called and got the cops out here."

The victim was later identified as 31-year-old Hunter Kelly of Farmersville, Texas.

This location is just one mile south of a parking lot on the Southeastern Oklahoma University Campus where the body of 57-year-old Arvell James Brown of Antlers was discovered in a vehicle on Monday afternoon. That case is being handled by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and police do not believe there's any link between the two deaths.
