SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) -- The Grayson County Sheriff's Office is presenting a program called Why Teens Kill.

Phil Chalmers has interviewed more than 200 teen killers. He will discuss the history behind juvenile murder and today's violent youth culture.

Deputy Tony Benny said the training will target law enforcement, educators, counselors, and social workers.

"It gives them insight into the thought process of teen killers... those things that cause them to trigger their actions, gives them warning signs to look for, and it goes into further discussion in their thought process," Bennie said.

The Why Teens Kill training session is set for Monday, March 15 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kidd-Key Auditorium in Sherman. There is no cost to attend and the public is invited.
