(KTEN) -- A two-vehicle crash near Dickson, Oklahoma, on Tuesday night left two people hospitalized.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Walter Jack said a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 16-year-old Ardmore resident failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the intersection of US 70 and Dickson Road around 6:30 p.m. That vehicle was hit by a GMC pickup truck driven by Andrew Jay, 60, of Madill.

Jay and a 16-year-old female passenger in the Jeep were airlifted to Medical City Hospital in Plano, Texas, for treatment.

The girl, who was trapped in the wreckage for about 15 minutes, was last reported in critical condition with multiple injuries; Jay was said to be in stable condition.

The driver of the Jeep was treated at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore and was later released.
