What happened to the flu?
(KTEN) -- Health experts nationwide say this flu season has been "virtually nonexistent."
In Grayson County, influenza cases were only reported three weeks out of the season versus 15 weeks during the 2019-2020 season.
In Oklahoma, things were not too different. Flu hospitalizations across Texoma remained at or below one person per county.
Oklahoma State Department of Health officials attribute that not only to safety practices enforced during COVID-19, but also to an increase in the number of people opting for flu shots this season.
According to the CDC, working from home was also a major factor in keeping influenza rates low.
