Man arrested for allegedly stealing from Blake Shelton's former ranch in Johnston County
A man wanted in Johnston County has been arrested in Washington County.
Johnson County Sheriff Gary Dodd says Lucas Teague is wanted for allegedly stealing equipment from a ranch formerly owned by Blake Shelton.
The sheriff says they're running a soil sample from mud stuck to the suspect's car to prove that was the vehicle used during the crime.
He's accused of stealing around $50,000 dollars worth of guns and gun equipment.
"This individual is, from everything that we can tell, a con-artist. he's been doing this for a while. He even tried to con me over the phone in making me believe that he actually owned this ranch," Dodd said.
The weapons Teague is accused of stealing are still missing and the sheriff asks anyone who knows of their whereabouts to contact the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
