ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) -- Ardmore Parks and Recreation has won four state awards in recognition for their work this year.

Director Teresa Ervin said the department found great success with The Clubhouse, an attraction that opened last fall.

Parks and Rec  applied for recognition in a variety of categories.

"They range from actual awards to scholarships even. And so this year, we were fortunate enough and we submitted some and won four," she said.

Ervin added that continuing programs has been difficult in the cold weather, but the department plans to have many more activities when it gets warmer.
