A look inside the progress of HeyDay Entertainment
DENISON, Texas -- After a 61-day weather delay, construction workers are making progress inside of one of Gateway Village's most anticipated entertainment venues.
HeyDay Entertainment is one step closer to opening day, as construction workers get ready to add the inside walls of the building.
"The changes should be evident to the public very soon," said Robby Pruitt with Piazza Construction.
Next week the construction company will begin placing final touches on the inside of the building.
"We start closing up the walls and inside so we can start the finishing process," said Pruitt.
Following the placement of sheet rock, the construction company says they'll begin preparing for vendors to come in and add arcade games and other attractions.
"We're getting ready for all the vendors to come in," said Pruitt. "Bowling, laser tag, the ropes course are all coming in after next month."
Special to this location, visitors will be able to cash in their winning points from arcade games to take home unique prizes beneficial to our area.
"We're near Lake Texoma," said Keri Little, an owner of HeyDay. "There will be lake items, paddle boards, canoes and things like that."
However, if you're not into games, another attraction is the upstairs bar for adults 21 and over.
"We've seen parents in Norman dropping money downstairs to their kids," said Brad Little, another owner of HeyDay. "We think that's because they still want to hangout longer upstairs."
So, whether its to spend time with family or come and relax on your own, the Littles say they have something for everyone.
"Everyone's going to be able to come in here and feel at home."
