New Marshall Co. Expo Building Dedicated

MARSHALL COUNTY, OK -- Leaders came together to dedicate the first part of a new county Expo Center.

The new building is located on Highway 70 south of Madill. Local Masons led a half-hour ceremony to dedicate the cornerstone of the new building on Saturday morning.

The $250,000 building was constructed with the help of a grant received about two years ago, says former county commissioner Royce Bartee.

The air conditioning has not yet been installed, but much of the work on the building is done. Officials say it should be ready to use by next summer.

Leaders hope to add two more buildings at the site in the years to come to complete the new Expo Center, which will replace a current building in Madill.
