GRAYSON COUNTY, TX - Monday is the last day to register to vote for the general election in Texas with includes the race for governor and state and county-wide races. Deeda Payton reports.

Applications had to be turned in today or at least post-marked by today to be considered in time for the general election which is less than a month away.

John Ramsey, The Grayson County Tax Assessor, says about 80% of Grayson County residents are registered to vote. "Its just necessary to have a voice in government if you want a voice in government you must be registered. Then go take your choice at the ballot to vote your candidate of choice."

For an application or to check to make sure you are already registered, visit then "Election" then "Am I Registered?"

October 8th is the last day to register to vote in Oklahoma.
