Updated: Nov 16, 2007 02:02 AM CST

Two are killed in a fatal car crash in Marshall County Thursday afternoon. The wreck occurred around 2:30 Thursday, just about  four-and-a-half miles west of Madill backing up traffic along highway 70. KTEN's Meredith Saldana reports.

Highway 70 is a two lane highway where the accident occurred. Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers say the two SUV's collided head on when one was traveling westbound and crossed the center line into the eastbound lane.

When asked about the fatal accident, Officer Pruitt of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said, "They just advised me that we had a two vehicle signal-82 accident."

Three people were involved in the accident, 47 year old, Kathy Ballard of Ardmore and 37 year old Jeff Jones of Ada were pronounced dead on the scene.  Ballard and Jones were in the SUV headed westbound on highway 70, and 60 year old Charles Bancroft of Florida was driving alone in the other SUV and was medi-flighted to Norman Regional Hospital.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol along with the Mannsville Fire Department and Madill Fire Department all worked together at the scene of this tragic accident.

The driver that was flown to Norman Regional this afternoon is listed in stable condition.
