Wednesday night, a man shot and killed one person, before fleeing police at an Ardmore apartment complex. Then, police found the suspect shooting at cars along Veterans Blvd. were they shot and wounded the man. KTEN's Hailee Holliday reports.

37-year-old Darrell Madden, underwent surgery Wednesday night after police shot him in the arm. He is currently out of surgery and in police custody.

So far, during the investigation, police have learned Madden was friends with the victim, 26-year-old Bradley Qualls. They say, Madden walked into an apartment and shot Qualls in front of three young children.

Both men are suspects in an Oklahoma City homicide and Ardmore Police are now working with the Oklahoma City Police Department, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and McClain County Sheriff's Department.     

Ardmore Police's, Lt. Eric Hamblin, says, "At this time all we know is that there was a brief intense argument just prior to the shooting and we're not sure what sparked that."

Police say Madden has an extensive criminal history and is a member of the Aryan Brotherhood. He is currently being held for murder, at least 3 counts of attempted carjacking, and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction. Additional charges are likely to follow.
