Former Achille mayor pleads guilty to arms charges

MUSCOGEE, Okla. -- Former Achille mayor David Northcutt has pleaded guilty to possession of stolen firearms.

A federal indictment alleged that Northcutt, 42, knowingly shipped and transported stolen firearms across state lines in early March.

The U.S. Attorney's office said Northcutt's crime is punishable with up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
