DENISON, Texas -- A benefit concert on Sunday let Texoma musicians and music lovers give back to the families who lost their businesses and homes after the devastating October 9 fire in downtown Denison.

"Literally I spent about 30 minutes making a few phone calls, getting some word out, and the outpour of support from musicians… Cadence Studio, who's doing the sound today... everybody...  was completely on board," said Jason Smith of Overdrive Entertainment.  "We had more than we could possibly use."

One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the #DenisonForward event goes straight to businesses and individuals whose lives were upended by the fire.

"I think it's really cool to help support those people," said 11-year-old performer Sawyer Guymon. "The building is going to cost a lot of money, so I thought it would be great to help them out."
