ADA, Okla. -- While trick-or-treating and scary movies are on many people's minds, the City of Ada is already gearing up for one of its busiest seasons of the year.

Now less than a month away, countless lights are being put up for the Santa Stroll.

"With the weather and the rain and mowing season still, our guys are pretty busy as we speak, out setting those structures up and getting them prepared for when we open the season," said Parks and Recreation Director Tommy Eaton.

The lights are set to be turned on starting November 25. The Santa Stroll is intended for people of all ages to come out and enjoy.

"The Parks Department has really worked hard to get the lights up and running at that time," Eaton said. "Hopefully it'll be a great attraction for people to come from all over to drive through the park, see the Christmas lights lit up, and get in the Christmas spirit."

The event will have attractions throughout Wintersmith Park, including the Wintersmith Lodge. The Parks and Recreation Department believes there's no better place for the event to be held.

"We're just excited to continue to build on that great legacy as we move forward with the Parks Department and continue to make this a place where people want to come and be a part of, and be a part of the activities that we have."
