LONE GROVE, Okla. -- The Lone Grove Public School District is giving back to its staff by offering incentives to current teachers and to recruit new educators.

The incentives include a $1,200 stipend given to teachers at the beginning of the year.

"We can't do enough, and we can't pay them enough for the jobs that they do, so we were very pleased to be able to offer these things," said Superintendent Meri Jayne Miller.

The district hopes its program will help keep teachers in Oklahoma.
