MADILL, Okla. -- Marshall County Emergency Management will soon offer CPR classes.

But these will be lessons on saving the lives of our four-legged neighbors.

The idea came about in their volunteer meeting, and Emergency Management Director Robert Chaney said it will go toward the department's ultimate goal.

"Come to find out there are certified courses on teaching pet CPR and first aid," Chaney said. "The great part about it is, we're looking at expanding in any and every way we possibly can with the ability to help people in Marshall County."

Dates for classes are still being worked out, but they're planning to offer classes at a discounted rate of $35.
