ARDMORE, Okla. -- October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month in Ardmore.

With hackers plying their trade on an hourly basis,  this month is a way to get safety tips out there. Ardmore is offering free tutorials on how to be cyber safe.

"We will come and give a presentation on ways to protect your data: How to do a password ... things to look out for," said Robert Newell, the city's information technology director. "Here's an email; we'll show them how an email, this is a bad email, this is a good email."

To learn more about the free tutorials, visit the City of Ardmore website, and get more tips from the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies.
