DURANT, Okla. -- It's rodeo time in Durant.

Southeastern Oklahoma State University is hosting the Savage Storm Intercollegiate Rodeo at the Bryan County Fairgrounds.

The event features more than 500 contestants in bull riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping and other competitions.

"It brings in schools, junior colleges and universities to compete together in the National Intercollegiate Association, so it brings all schools in Kansas and Oklahoma," said SOSU rodeo coach Christi Braudrick.

For the first time, a concert was set to follow Thursday evening's final rodeo event. You can also catch the college cowboys and cowgirls on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30.

Admission is free for SOSU students; otherwise it's $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
