GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas -- Tribute will be paid to military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation this weekend in Pottsboro.

With the Remembering Our Fallen Memorial Wall, Grayson County first responders and several non-profit groups are honoring the more than 600 soldiers who have died since the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The wall was moved by escort from Van Alstyne's Forrest Moore Park to Pottsboro's Chamber of Commerce building on Friday. Included in the escort were fire and police departments from Pottsboro, Howe, Sherman, Denison and Van Alstyne.

Organizers said the wall will be used to remember the legacies of service members and to lessen the grief of their families.

The wall will be displayed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday during Frontier Day in Pottsboro. It will be on view at the State Fair of Texas from September 29 to October 19.
