DENISON, Texas -- Some Denison High School students are packaging meals to send to Haiti.

There was a packing party at the gym on Wednesday to wrap up the school's Feed the Need project.

"We know that our kids need to be involved in community service, so not just here locally, but we decided this is great," teacher Aaron Bach said.

All the students had a job -- whether it was packing, sealing or boxing meals bound for the struggling Caribbean island nation.

"We can get somebody across the world," Bach said. "It was cool to see the excitement in their eyes doing something for somebody else."

This is the first time this group of students have done this project. Their teacher said they learned value in life and that big goals can be achieved... like providing 10,000 meals.

"You know, they are so privileged to have a lot, and then they realize that some other kids don't... so why don't we... why not help them?" Bach asked.
