Choctaw County murder suspect in custody

BOSWELL, Okla. --  A man is in custody in connection with the shooting death of a Boswell woman late Monday night.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said John Stubbs, 36, was arrested at the scene of the crime by Boswell police.

OSBI said a 911 call to Choctaw County dispatchers alerted authorities to a shooting at a home in the 300 block of 4th Street shortly before midnight.

The victim was identified as Rachell Jordan, 25.

In addition to a first degree murder charge, Stubbs is also facing a variety of other charges including assault on a public servant, resisting arrest, and obstructing an officer.
