Crash kills Ada boy, 15; passenger injured

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Okla. — A 15-year-old Ada boy was killed and a 17-year-old passenger was injured in a car crash early Monday morning. 

Oklahoma State Troopers said the 15-year-old was behind the wheel and had been driving at an unsafe speed when he lost control on State Highway 56 in Seminole County, near Sasakwa.

The vehicle overturned, slamming into a fence and a utility pole shortly after midnight.

The 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene; the 17-year-old was airlifted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was treated for his injuries and released. 

The names of the victims were not released.
