ARDMORE, Okla. -- Ardmore officials say they've seen a bump in substandard housing complaints over the summer.

Many gripes have involved rental properties that don't meet city code.

Community Development Department director Jessica Scott encourages tenants to reach out.

"If you see this happen, if you're living in a place you don't have water, you don't have a toilet...you know, you can't cook... call us and we'll come out," she said.

The city's community development office does accept walk-ins at 15 First Avenue SE, or you can call them at 580-223-3477.
