MADILL, Okla. -- Madill police are warning parents and teachers to be aware of the apps that students have on their phones.

The department has provided a poster of 15 apps they say can be harmful in the wrong hands. For instance: Child predators can gain access to a child's location.

Madill Public Schools has investigated cases of bullying through these apps.

"We've had some bullying issues with things like Snapchat, even Facebook," said counselor Mandy Clement. "A lot of times, kids will do screen shots and share information."

To help combat concerns, Madill schools has a no-phone policy while students are in class.
