WHITESBORO, Texas -- Grayson County Sheriff's Office deputies are looking for possible arsonist in Whitesboro, and rewards offered for information are growing.

There were four different suspicious fires between July 15 and July 28, all involving hay bales.

The most recent involved a barn with bales of hay that had been sitting there for more than a year.

The estimated damage exceeds $100,000.

"We have a lot of livestock owners, and so that hay is essential to making sure that their animals are fed for the winter, and fed when there's not available resources that are currently growing," sheriff's office spokeswoman Capt. Sarah Bigham said. "Right now with the heat, hay is going to become a needed commodity."

A Grayson County citizen offered $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the fires. In addition, North Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward.
