ARDMORE, Okla. -- Ardmore has seen an increase in vehicle burglaries since the Fourth of July.

Police said there have been about half a dozen burglaries in the span of a couple of days. Thieves grabbed items from iPads and headphones to a handgun.

A surveillance camera image released by police shows two of the suspects.

Detective John Johnson said crimes like this usually trend during holidays.

"You've got kids, you've got family members, you're distracted, you're trying to make plans for the weekend and things like that... the last thing you're going to be worried about is, 'Did I lock my vehicle?'" he said.

Investigators believe they have identified the suspects.
