WE'RE LEARNING MORE ABOUT THIS WEEKEND'S CRANE COLLAPSE INTO SOME DALLAS APARTMENTS  FROM PEOPLE WHO LIVED THERE.

KTEN'S SHEREEN HASHEM HAS MORE.

ONE KILLED, FIVE INJURED.. AND A CITY STILL IN SHOCK.

KIERSTEN SMITH, A 29-YEAR-OLD RESIDENT OF THE ELAN CITY LIGHTS APARTMENTS, WAS KILLED WHEN THE CRANE TOPPLED AND FELL INTO THE COMPLEX, LEAVING A LARGE GASH IN THE FIVE-STORY BUILDING.

THE CRANE COLLAPSED INTO THE APARTMENT BUILDING IN DOWNTOWN DALLAS SUNDAY AFTERNOON LEADING TO SEVERAL COLLAPSES WITHIN THE BUILDING AND AN ADJACENT PARKING GARAGE.

"we came out-- we went to the parking garage.. Because it was like 'it's fire -- I want to get out of the building - at least that way.' and so, like we saw it all crash down... And we were just like in shock. And we ran down the stairs, and then we all ran outside.. And it was just like chaos -- it was crazy."

SMITH WAS IDENTIFIED BY THE DALLAS COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINER'S OFFICE MONDAY MORNING, BUT AN OFFICIAL CAUSE OF DEATH HAS YET TO BE DETERMINED.

A RESIDENT OF THE APARTMENT BUILDING TELLS ABC 10 THAT PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE WILL BE GETTING THEIR JUNE RENT AND UTILITIES COSTS BACK AS WELL AS $500.

"due to the damage to the building they're gonna be unable to get everyone else to move back in in the near future so for now everyone's having to move out they allowed us to go inside for 5 minutes and throw as much stuff as we could in a bag and get out and that's all we're able to do right now."

OFFICIALS SAY, OF THOSE INJURED, TWO WERE LISTED IN CRITICAL CONDITION, TWO SUFFERED SERIOUS INJURIES AND ONE SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES AND WAS LATER DISCHARGED FROM A HOSPITAL.

THEIR IDENTITIES HAVE NOT YET BEEN CONFIRMED.

" you just kind of never expect it to happen, I mean, uh regulation laws, and everything. But it didn't matter, I mean, there's only so much you can do and I just hope the body count doesn't rise because I mean coming out of that ash screaming -- chaos in the lobby, no one should have gone through that."
