DENISON, Texas -- All the rain we've been seeing has slowed construction at Denison's newest entertainment venue.

HeyDay is pushing back its grand opening at Gateway Village to late August or early September.

Work crews have experienced around 70 days of rain delays, which have primarily affected the golf course area.

HeyDay, with locations in Oklahoma City and Norman, is expanding its concept to Denison. The facility will offer bowling, arcade games and dining.

Schulman's Movie Bowl Grille, which offers similar attractions along with a movie theater, recently opened in Sherman after announcing and then rescinding a plan to open a venue in Denison.
