DENISON, Texas -- Denison has expansion plans for its wastewater treatment facility.

It will add a 2,500 square foot building to the complex for use by the city's maintenance and environmental services. The price tag is just over $300,000.

"It's an improvement," said Leanne Wilson, Public Works assistant director. "Currently the environmental services is housed at our water treatment plant. Most of their work is with the wastewater treatment plant, so they'll be closer and it'll be a little more efficient."

Wilson added that the move will help the city save money by eliminating the need to hire contractors to fix equipment on site.
