Denison murder case goes to trial

SHERMAN, Texas -- The murder trial of 55-year-old Christopher Harrell is underway in Grayson County.

Sherman resident Michael Lindsey, 54, was found shot dead in a home on West Gandy Street in Denison in October 2017. Lindsey had been out of touch with loved ones for days.

Sherman police traced Harrell to a hotel in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Investigators said he had Lindsey's truck and driver's license with him.

Harrell is facing a first-degree murder charge.
