ACHILLE, Okla. -- Former Achille mayor David Northcutt is facing charges for stealing from the police evidence room.

According to an affidavit from the Bryan County district attorney's office, Northcutt got the keys to the evidence room after the entire police department was suspended. He admitted to stealing narcotics, guns and cash.

Northcutt has two active felony warrants for his arrest on grand larceny and false declaration ownership to a pawn.

Northcutt has not been arrested and hasn't been seen since Monday morning. Achille police have been unable to find him, and believe he may have gone into hiding now that he's aware of the warrants.
