KINGSTON, Okla. -- If you live in Johnston County, be sure to bring your sweet tooth to the Family Care Center of Kingston.

The nursing home is holding a bake sale to raise money to finish kitchen renovations. Any leftover funds after the makeover will go toward planning more activities for residents.

"We're looking to look at the surrounding communities, since the weather is becoming nicer and warmer," nursing director Acacia Arnold explained. "It's really good for them to get out and get out into the community."

The bake sale is coming up this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A cookout and Easter egg hunt are part of the celebration.

Meanwhile, the seniors who live at the center are doing their part to spruce up the facility at 701 State Highway 32.

"The residents help paint all the centerpieces that's going to go on the tables," Arnold said. "They help paint the cabinets, so they've been very involved in this remodel and painting."
