Severe weather season is here. This weekend, the State of Texas will help its citizens save some money while making sure they are prepared.

It's the Texas Emergency Preparation Supplies Sales Tax Holiday, the weekend of April 27-29.

That means no sales tax will be charged on household batteries, fuel containers and flashlights priced less than $75; portable generators priced less than $3,000; emergency ladders priced less than $300, and even ice chests, first aid kits and weather radios.
