ARDMORE, Okla. -- One of Ardmore's biggest entertainment projects is now officially underway.

City officials broke ground Wednesday for The Clubhouse, a 9,000 square foot entertainment center, at Regional Park. The facility will feature an arcade, zip line, and a miniature golf course.

Parks and Recreation Director Teresa Ervin said the facility will give Ardmoreites a chance to stay in town instead of having to travel for entertainment.

"What age? It doesn't matter, just for everybody... for families, for young adults," she said. "We want you to stay in Ardmore. We want you to stay here. We want you to have fun here and have something of quality to experience."

Construction is expected to be finished in about a year.
