Copy-Lockdown continues at Oklahoma prison following inmate fight

HOMINY, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma prison officials say a medium-security facility in northeastern Oklahoma remains locked down two days after five inmates were injured in a fight.

Spokesman Matt Elliott said Sunday that investigators are still looking into Friday afternoon's fight at the Dick Connor Correctional Center in Hominy, a 1,200-inmate prison about 95 miles (153 kilometers) northeast of Oklahoma City and about 29 miles (47 kilometers) northwest of Tulsa.

Elliott says the prison will remain locked down while security staff investigate what caused the melee. All inmate movement is restricted and no visitation is allowed at the prison.

No prison staff members were injured in the fight and the injured inmates were all treated at the prison infirmary.

Elliott says the findings of the investigation will be submitted to prosecutors for possible charges.
