Posted: Updated:

SHERMAN, Texas -- Downtown Sherman is hosting its first St. Patrick's Day parade on Saturday morning.

The event is hosted by Sherman Main Street, the Old Iron Post and the Texoma Society of Celts.

Sherman Main Street director Sarah McRae said onlookers can expect to see horses, leprechauns and all shades of green.

"We'll be starting in the parking lot of Central Christian Church, and we'll be heading down Travis Street and making a left onto Pecan, and then another left onto Crockett ... and we'll split off after Touch of Class," she said.

The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. Saturday.
