DURANT, Okla. -- The votes are in. The Small Business Revolution reality TV show will be awarding a $500,000 Main Street makeover grant to Searcy, Arkansas.

Durant was one of six small cities selected as finalists in the nationwide competition after a #MyDurant booster campaign. In the standings published before the winner was announced, Durant was in the lead, Searcy was in second place.

The Choctaw Event Center was filled with city leaders, business owners and residents watching the results announced by show host Amanda Brinkman in a Facebook video at 6:30 p.m.

She said Searcy was selected after 1.6 million votes were tallied.

The other finalists for the Small Business Revolution prize were Cañon City, Colorado; Camas, Washington; Corsicana, Texas; and Washington, North Carolina.
