SHERMAN, Texas -- Sherman police are talking about a most unusual drug bust.

Last week, detectives conducted a traffic stop and found marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy, heroin, THC oil and hundreds of dollars in cash -- all in the same vehicle.

"Finding that amount isn't necessarily an everyday occurrence, especially the varied amount of drugs and the types of drugs that were found together," said police spokesman Sgt. Brett Mullen. "Whether between Grayson County, Sherman, Denison... we're all finding drugs just about every day."

On Sunday, Sherman police arrested a man for having 23 grams of cocaine and more than $1,100 in cash in his vehicle.

"We do have a lot of arrests that are made on traffic stops," Mullen said. "We do, of course, have the search warrants that we run occasionally. It's almost daily that we'll find someone with some drugs."

"Drug problems are really a major problem for society everywhere," agreed Denison police spokesman Lt. Mike Eppler.

Anyone with information about illegal drugs can provide that information to your local police or sheriff's department anonymously.
