MARIETTA, Ok. -- For the fourth consecutive season the Marietta Indians will take the field with a different head football coach.
Sam Powers told KTEN on Tuesday that he is leaving the Indians to take a job in Mangum, OK. Powers leaves after just one season and a 3-7 record with the Indians and a sixth place district finish.
Since the 2016 season the Indians have taken the field with four different head coaches, three of which left after just a single season. The Indians missed the playoffs in 2018, but have reached the postseason 4 times since 2012.
