National Weather Service sets Skywarn Spotter classes

Posted: Updated:

The National Weather Service offices in Dallas/Fort Worth Texas, Norman, Oklahoma, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, will be conducting Skywarn spotting classes that are free and open to the public.

Everyone in surrounding communities is welcome to attend. At each class, the NWS will prepare and educate volunteer spotters to be able to safely report and gather data that is essential for meteorologists at the NWS and even at KTEN.

These volunteers help keep their local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather.

If you are interested in attending these classes, refer to the images and find out where a class will be closest to you.
