SHERMAN, Texas -- A Sherman restaurant is putting a twist on an upcoming fundraiser.

Old Iron Post has that they call Community Celebrity Monday, when an individual or a small business serves as guest bartender, and that individual or organization designates a non-profit agency to benefit from money raised.

On Monday evening, Brad and Chele Wells with the B Dawgz Street Doggz food truck were set to raise funds for the United Way by staging a hot dog-eating contest.

"Our goal usually every Monday is $2,500, and we've never gone under that and have always exceeded that," said Lauren Sims of Old Iron Post. "We hope tonight we do that also."

The event was set to begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the restaurant, 101 North Travis Street.
